A bit ago I had the privilege to shoot Moving Mountains. A super talented band quickly on the rise to stardom. These guys are hysterical and the nicest people (with rock star edge of course). I absolutely loved them and am so excited for all the success coming their way. I worked with the incredible Christopher Benton at Alternative Press Magazine for this shoot. Love AP, love MM, love Chris! Thanks guys!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure to embark on a 1 hour tour with Ludacris, his entourage, my team & my clients at the ESPN Zone in New York’s Time Square. It was here that we shot the cover for the newest issue of Honey Magazine. The brains and brawn behind Honey Magazine are pretty magnificent and it was a pleasure to work for them, Ludacris was a class act and its no wonder why he’s at the top of his game, he’s 100% on point, and it was a great shoot. Above is the video from Honey TV showing some behind the scenes footage.
Photographer: Carrie Schechter | Talent: Ludacris | Client: Honey Magazine | Photo Editor: Erika Ramirez | Editor-In-Cheif: Shanel Odum | Production: KWC Productions | Photo Asst.: Noah Dodson | Styling for talent by Mike B. | Styling for model: Jason Rembert | Hair: Tracy Balan | Groomer/MUA: Sir John Barnett | Manicurist: Amber Stores | Model: Kneecole Hamilton
stretching before Ludacris gets to set. Time to prepare for some gymnastics to get the angles I need in some pretty tight spaces.
The shoot itself was craziness, we had one hour of shooting time. In that time we had 6 location changes, 5 wardrobe changes, a Dr Oz interview for Ludacris, brunch, a high school honor roll field trip and a children’s party. Due to unforeseen events ESPN had to keep the floor open during the shoot, so we had quiet the audience and adventure in the arcade.

Recently I photographed a fashion spread for Bicycling Magazine called the Cycle of Style. It’s a special fashion spread that they don’t do very often and I was extraordinarily excited to shoot for them. The shoot was on a beautiful day in NYC, on set was photo editor extrodinair Stacey Emenecker, Mike Cushionbury was Art Directing, we cast 5 fabulous Ford models, Christopher Ritchey on hair, Deidre from RJ Bennit on Style and Ro on MU. My assistants were Derrick and Ross (Ross took the behind the scenes shots).
We shot all setups twice on two different backgrounds completely across the studio, we worked like cheetahs on 15 shots of espresso, it was amazing. It was a very creatively stimulating set, Mike was changing his game plan with the article as we were shooting, and to see him getting excited just got my creative juices all fired up. The clothes are so HOT! I don’t ride bikes much..I rode when I was 10, and when I tried to get back on one while living in Santa Barbara a few years ago..I actually forgot how. Isn’t there a saying about never forgetting how to ride a bike? Lies…all lies.
The models were gorgeous!! The vibe was upbeat and positive, the pictures came out great. Check out the December Issue of Bicycling Magazine on news stands now! Finals to come soon…

Check out my shoot with actress Alexis Dziena (Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist, Fool’s Gold) in London’s very own Total Film Magazine. You can also find more about our photos on her fan site. (this is a different image than the one that is running, I haven’t seen which one they chose, so I chose for now.)
Check out previous entries with Alexis here when I shot her for AP Magazine.
